Hi, I’m Louise, and I’m a freelance copywriter, proofreader and online content editor living in North Yorkshire, England.

I’ve loved reading and writing my entire life - I still have the book of short stories I wrote when I was seven years old, and I can’t pass by a label, sign or description without reading it (and checking it for mistakes!)

I graduated back in 2010 with a degree in English Language and Linguistics from the University of York and have worked in online content creation ever since. Before freelancing, my job of 12 years was writing e-learning courses and web articles on a wide range of topics, from business skills to safeguarding children to health and safety, so I truly believe I can write about anything!

My friends would describe me as organised, reliable, independent and down-to-earth - and perhaps also a perfectionist who loves to tidy up.

I’m very creative, too, and I love to sew, stitch and craft. For a long while I wrote a successful sewing blog to document my creations. I also enjoy cooking, gardening, researching my family tree and playing servant to my cat, Barnaby.
